Sarah McGuire, R.Ac.
Registered Acupuncturist, Sarah McGuire, graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 2002, and went on to complete the five-year Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine program at the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Vancouver. In 2009 she pursued her internship at the Acupuncture Hospital of China Medical University in Taichung, Taiwan. Sarah is also certified as an Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist and in Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture.
The focus of Sarah’s treatment is to address the causes of illness and pain rather than simply treating the symptoms. It is her experience that we can transform our bodies naturally, safely, and harmoniously. Sarah knows that the free movement of our qi (chee) energy is vital to good health. To assess this energy, Sarah uses the Acugraph system (digital imaging) as an effective way of electronically measuring the efficiency of the body’s energy system. In treatment Sarah uses a blend of methods including acupuncture, auriculotherapy, tuina (Chinese massage), scraping, cupping, and dietary therapy.
With blockages removed and balance restored, we see renewed possibility, leading us towards our true potential. For those who are interested, Sarah recommends booking a treatment to discover what it can do to facilitate change in your area of concern and find another useful tool in your natural healing repertoire.
